Le Van Hawke is a twelve-year-old Amerasian boy who is very brave and afraid by nothing. He is able to fight with older men and feels like an adult.

Le came to the USA with his step-father, Darren McBride, and his aunt, Minh Van McBride. Darren is American and married Minh in Asia when he went there to make some money. Le went with them to America since his mother had passed away.
He claims that his mother was married to St. John, Stringfellows MIA brother. Stringfellow was informed of this by Archangel and so, if it is right, Le would be his nephew and possibly the only reminder of St. John. After discovering Darren’s bad intentions, Le went to live alone with his aunt. But she was kidnapped and killed by a man named Nick Kincaid.
Stringfelow has promised to take care of Le like a father, even if he discovers in the future that Le isn’t St. Johns son.
